About Me

Heeey there, I’m Shunquetta Goins—but around here, I go by Quetta. I’m the heart and hands behind The Purdie Collective, a soulful brand that blends healing, creativity, and cultural affirmation into every social Creative workshop event, product, and experience I create.

I’m a creative practitioner, which means I use art, crafting, and intentional design as tools to help women and men reconnect with themselves. Through coloring books, waist bead workshops, affirmations, healing events, and cozy crafts—you’ll find that everything I make is rooted in purpose, healing, and joy.

My journey hasn’t been linear—but it’s been powerful. From corporate life to building a healing-centered business from the ground up, I’ve learned how to hold space for transformation, both personally and creatively.

✨ What I Believe:

  • Creativity is sacred.

  • Healing isn’t always linear, but it can be beautiful.

  • Black women and men deserve spaces to be soft, bold, messy, magical, and fully themselves.

  • Every creation—whether a rug, a ritual, or a journal prompt—can be a mirror back to your soul.

Simply Social began because I needed community beyond the therapy room—a place to talk honestly, make with my hands, and practice small mental-health habits when things felt off. Each gathering blends cozy conversation, hands-on making, and simple grounding tools (breathwork moments, check-in prompts, sensory resets) so we can process, connect, and leave a little lighter. This is grief-aware, trauma-sensitive space—come as you are.
